Dr. Shitaka founded RealizeEdge Partners Co., Ltd. in 2025, a startup studio focused on creating drug discovery startups with real-world impact. He spent nearly 30 years at Astellas Pharma, ultimately serving as Chief Scientific Officer (2021–2025) and leading the global research organization. He holds a B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Tokyo.
